Inspire the Next Generation - Go Back to School

We're challenging CEOs from across the UK to demonstrate their commitment to investing in tomorrow's change-makers, innovators, and talent whilst raising awareness and critical funding for Founders4Schools.

Founders4Schools has impacted over 500,000 students across the UK, and we are committed to ensuring all young people, without exception, are informed and inspired to succeed in their transition from education to employment. But we need help to scale and ensure we remain free and accessible. So we are challenging CEOs from across the UK to go 'Back to School' for the day to inspire the students they will connect with as well as enabling us to reach thousands more by inviting sponsorship from their networks.

Will you join us?

When? Any date throughout September to suit your calendar
Where? Any school you have a connection with; whether as alumni at their old senior school, a local senior school or one they are connected to via family or friends, or a school from the Founders4Schools can connect you with a local school to your home or office
What will the day look like? You will be involved in a timetable of lessons and challenges; a school assembly presentation, 'Dragons Den' pitch from students, Q&A lunch with students in the canteen, revisiting your most and least favourite lessons, ‘what I would tell my 15 year old self’ insights, and you may even want to present new business ideas for feedback from innovative young minds.
Why? Just one day out of the office may have a life-changing impact as you inspire and empower young lives. You will help students and educators understand what the world of work looks like, and share what employers are looking for from young new starters, whilst also gaining insight into the challenges and expectations of your future talent. Our team will support you through every step of the journey, from planning your day at school to raising awareness of your involvement in the event and supporting you in reaching your fundraising target

With your support, we can improve social mobility, inclusivity and access to careers, levelling the playing field for those children and young people who need us most.

• The CBI lists low levels of skills in the workforce as the single biggest perceived threat to UK competitiveness in the next five years and the jobs market is changing.
• Research shows there is a disconnect between aspiration and opportunity. Many young people want to work in sectors that are widely different from the jobs available so they need to understand where the opportunities exist.
• Parents are struggling to keep up with children's career options, a recent survey found many feel overwhelmed as their children express interest in jobs they know nothing about
