Inspiring and empowering the next generation in their future careers!

When?

Available on demand all summer! Careers Jam live took place on 3rd May 2022, but the whole platform, including recordings of the sessions, are now available on-demand throughout the summer until 3rd September, meaning this is a fantastic careers education resource for four whole months!

What?

There are a variety of panel discussions and workshops from the likes of Google, Tate & Lyle and Workfinder, where industry leaders and young professionals share their experiences, advice and tips on a range of issues relevant to young people. Young people will be able to watch discussions about a variety of topics, such as digital careers, sustainability, financial awareness and entrepreneurship. There are also a host of virtual booths from employers, training providers and educators where attendees can browse information, apply for jobs and arrange 1:1 meetings. There's also the opportunity for you to win £100 ASOS voucher just by browsing the content at Careers Jam!

Where?

The event is free to attend online from any laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile device!

Who?

Anyone can attend the event but it is perfect for 16-24 year olds seeking career guidance and opportunities, including school & college students/leavers, university students/graduates and those seeking employment or training. Educators, career leaders and parents can also attend with young people or encourage them to attend individually.

Why?

Only 1 in 10 young people feel confident they can find quality work where they live. As a result of the pandemic, work experience opportunities have been scarce, apprenticeships and internships have not been offered as widely as usual and youth unemployment rates have been anticipated to rise by 163%. We are on a mission to help young people to prepare for their future careers, and help to narrow the skills gap.

Save the date!

Careers Jam will take place next year on Thursday 27th April 2023 - you can register here so you're kept up to date and get it in your diary!

Careers Jam 2022 is supported by Kusuma Trust, Tate & Lyle, Thred Media, Careermap & Reset Connect

Want to get involved as an organisation?

If your organisation provides early career opportunities, or would like to inspire more young people to pursue a career in your industry, the F4S virtual Careers Jam for 16-24 year olds is the perfect opportunity to inspire the next generation.

We have a great opportunity for you to provide bonus content for the on demand period of Careers Jam 2022 and we have a range of sponsorship packages and virtual booths available for our corporate supporters for the 2023 event. This is a great way to connect with the next generation of talent and offers the opportunity to hold panel discussions or keynote addresses to all attendees.

You can also advertise any early careers opportunities, connect 1:1 with young people, and as the platform is live for four months, you can update this information with new opportunities whenever you like.

Download our Careers Jam Sponsorship & Exhibition Brochure for an idea of the packages available and contact Melanie on melanie.bodaly@founders4schools.org.uk to book or discuss further!
